Amby Rose’s The Original Dozen Brush Collection Review

I bought this brush collection a couple of months ago, I wanted to get a real feel for these brushes to give an in depth review. The brushes arrived in good time. They were packaged well and came in a giant white see through organza bag. In this collection you will receive 12 brushes, which consist of get 4 face brushes and 8 eye brushes. The brushes are made with synthetic fibre, and the theme is turquoise and gold.

Face brushes

Round buffer brush: Can be used to apply mineral, liquid or powder products. (I use this brush for liquid and powder foundation and blusher) because its dense, the bristles pick up just the right amount to distributed flawlessly on to the skin. Gives an airbrushed result.

Tapered blending brush: Can be used for liquid and cream products, and is able to get in to hard to reach places. (I use this brush for applying concealer/ highlighting and for contouring too.) It works amazing for concealer, you get the very good coverage. With the precision tip it has, makes it great for contouring too.

Angled kabuki brush: Can be used for mineral/ powder bronzer or cream products.( I used this brush to contour and apply blush, the shape allows for you to place product just where you want it and buff products on to your skin for pure perfection.

Flat buffer brush: Can be used for liquid, mineral, cream and powder products. (I used this brush for liquid foundation, powder). This brush allows you to achieve a smooth and flawless application, especially good if you’re a full coverage kinda person.

Eye brushes

Flat blending brush: Can be used to blend eye shadow colours in the crease, (I used this brush to achieve cut creased eyeshadow looks and to highlight the inner corner of my eyes). This brush gives flawless blending.

Flat definer brush: Can be used to pack eyeshadow on the eyelid, to blend out cut creases. (I used this brush when I’m using loose pigments and smudging out colour. Gives precision application for small parts of the eye

Liner brush: Can be used to apply eyeliner, unique/precise  eye designs. (I used this brush for winged liner, when I’m creating ombre lips, eye shadow to line my eyes and to smoke out/ soften lines. This brush gives precise liquid, cream and gel application

Medium angled brush: Can be used for sculpting eyebrows, eye liner application, blending out/ soften lines. (I use to fill in my eyebrows, blend out concealer around my eyebrows, the bristles are soft but firm enough to fill brows in.

Medium concealer brush: Can be used to apply cream or liquid concealer, spot cover and blending out. (I use this brush for applying concealer under by eyes, spot cover for where you need extra coverage).

Tapered blending brush: can be used to blend out eyeshadow. (I use this brush in my crease, blending out various eye looks and to soften the blended eye look too).

Tapered pencil brush: Can be used for precise colour application, smudging eyeshadow, highlight inner corner of eyes. I use the brush to highlight my tear ducts, creating a defined crease and smudging out eyeliner.

Over all this brush collection is amazing, the bristles are very soft on the face and eyes. Suitable for all skin types. I have not experiencing any shedding, I wash them very frequently (due to very sensitive skin) and they have held up beautifully. They remind me so much of sigma brushes, quality just as good, but without the price tag, the brush collection is very affordable, would highly recommend them.
